Using Audit Reports
For our customers who use PHI’s Clinical solution, a new icon will appear that will house reports previously reserved for our Practice Management and Suite users. Currently, there are 2 new reports designed for audit purposes that are available now for all customers, regardless of which solution they access. Access to these 2 reports will be controlled by permission. They are only available, by default, to company admins.
Permissions for Security Roles
To turn these reports on for users outside of Admins, the following page and 2 new permissions will need to be added to new or existing security roles.
1. CLICK under Pages: Clinical and Shared, then SELECT page: Charts/Reports
2. CLICK under Reports: Clinical and Shared, then SELECT Report: Account Audit Detail Report and/or Report: Audit Log Report
Using the Audit Reports:
The purpose of these reports is to provide an audit log of user activity in a company’s Pathfinder system. For most users, the basic Audit Log Report will show most of the information necessary.
This report allows searching across date ranges and can pull a single user’s activity or can pull all user activity for the time period being searched.
On the other hand, The Account Audit Detail Report is a more specific log of an individual user’s activity and only a single date can be selected. This report was designed as a tool for the customer success and development teams to help customers resolve questions about activity in the system. The information produced in the Account Audit Detail Report contains some protected information that will not be able to be read without the help of a Pathfinder support person.
To use these reports, use the purple Charts/Reports icon and select either the Account Audit Report or the Account Audit Detail Report. These reports will generate as excel files by default.
For the Account Audit Report a date range is required but selecting a specific account is optional. Leaving that field blank will generate a report of all activity from all users across the date range.
Here is an example of the data that is exported from the Account Audit Report. In this example, “Support” is the username.
The Account Audit Detail Report allows a single date and a single account username to be selected.
And while the information in this report is very detailed, it’s not as user friendly. Be aware that times are stored in UTC to help with the download performance of the report. Value fields are also stored in coded information that will require PHI support to translate. An example is provided below.
