31 STEPS
1 This tutorial highlights the NET function. I'll show you how to add it to a goal plan so it can be added to a score sheet and how scoring will work in Scout.
While it's not shown in this tutorial, scoring NET in Post Facto is similar to Scout.
2 Here I have a Goal Plan open for my patient. I will add a new skill with the NET option.
3 I will select Skill Objectives to choose from, but Protocol Skills, Quick Add and Add from Selected all have a NET option. Please review additional tutorials to learn about the Add from options.
4 Check the box next to a skill to be added.
5 Click Select
6 In the goal plan builder, in lieu of selecting targets, I will check Is NET:
*Note, you can select "Is NET" and define targets, presentations and SDs for the front line staff to choose from when collecting data on Scout.
7 Click Add
8 A NET option for the skill: Category has now been added to the bottom of the goal plan.
This is the item to add to a score sheet in order to have the NET function turned on during data collection.
9 Remember to save changes to a goal plan before exiting.
10 Data Collection for NET:
If the NET option was included on a score sheet, it will appear like this in Scout.
The NET option can be turned on even with other targets defined on the score sheet.
11 Click on the NET icon (person) to open the definition dialogue during a session.
12 Click the arrow on the right to open the Target List.
- the blue icon represents a custom target that's been created for the patient for this skill.
- the shaded green targets indicate targets that have been mastered.
13 From the list, a therapist can select a target from the list.
14 Presentation, Sd and Details are optional fields, just like on a goal plan, but can be added or selected from a pre-defined list.
15 Present 10 options is a Presentation that was already created for this skill. It can easily be selected from the list to apply to the target.
16 Click Sd
17 Sd can also be selected from a list, left blank or have a custom created.
In this example, I'm selecting a pre-existing custom SD.
The Details field does not have a drop down list to choose from. It is an optional, free-text field.
18 Now the target with is now added to my score sheet.
It can now be scored.
This target will remain on this score sheet as long as data is collected for it. If data does not get collected for this target, it will not save to the score sheet.
19 Additional targets can be selected or created by completing the same steps.
20 This time I want to create a target that is not in the list. I select "Add Custom"
21 The cursor will be placed in the target field, allowing a new target to be typed into this field and saved.
22 The ability to create a custom target through NET is a permission for users.
I will create a target called R1: Matches Body Parts, and this time I will not add a presentation, Sd or Detail.
Simply click OK when done.
23 Now I can score my newly added target.
Again, if data does not get collected for a NET target, it will not save to the score sheet.
24 Now I have data associated with 2 new targets that were created through the use of NET on Scout.
Once the data is locked, the Goal Plan will update with these new targets.
If offline, the Goal Plan will not update until the data is transferred.
25 click Lock
26 Now that the data is locked, let's look at the Goal Plan.
27 The Goal Plan now has those 2 targets added to it.
Those targets will also be saved to that score sheet for other therapists to score.
28 Navigate to the Score Sheet Summary report to be able to see data that was collected and created on any NET target while in session.
29 Click Print
30 Click Goal Score Sheet Summary Report
31 This icon on the score sheet summary report represents a Target that was created through NET in session.
That's it, you're done!
