If common prompts are needed when building clinical programming, in addition to the 8 standard prompts that already exist in the system, users can add those to access when building skills. The types of common prompts already included are, Environmental, Gestural, Modeling, Physical, Positional, Textual, Verbal, and Visual. The types of prompt delays included are, Delay 0 - Delay 8 (i.e. 0-8 second delays).

To add common prompts:
- Navigate to the Admin module and select Skill Prompts under the “Protocol” section
- Users can also add any known antecedents and consequences for patient behaviors to their library.
To create a domain:
- Navigate to the Admin module and select Domains under the “Protocol” section
- Click +New, select the Protocol (Ad-Hoc and Custom Skills), and add:
- The name of the domain
- The description for the domain
- The Ordinal (numeral), if applicable
To add target-based skill(s) to the domain:
- Navigate to the Admin module and select Skills under the “Protocol” section
- Click +New and select Target Based Skill from the drop-down
- Complete the “Details” tab
- For a target-based skill, select the Protocol (Ad-Hoc and Custom Skills) and the Domain.
- Select whether the skill is for Assessment Only (Not a Teaching Skill), Teaching Only (Not a Baseline Skill), or General Use (Teaching and Assessment).
- The skill that can be used for assessments will have an extra tab to define how to do assessment scoring.
- Type a Skill Id. A naming protocol is recommended, such as the first two to four letters of the domain, then an ordinal number (e.g. Tact 1).
- Add a title and an optional description.
- Select a Default Score Type, which will appear on Patient Goal Books as the default data collection type.
- Users can define other score types to appear on a drop-down of choices in the Patient Goal Plan, but only one score type can be the default.
- (Optional) Complete the Level, Ordinal, and Sub-Designator to define where the skill will appear in the domain order.
- Adjustments can be made to mastery recommendation criteria in the “Mastery Recommendation” tab, if the default criteria of an organization’s system does not suit the skill being created. Enter the following:
- # of Skill Targets
- Target Min. Score
- Target # Observers
- Observed Over # of Days
- (Optional) Complete the “Targets” tab to define standard targets that can be selected to use with any patient.
- Type 1 target per line or copy/paste from a Word document.
- Custom or patient specific targets can be added at the patient level.
- (Optional) Complete the “Presentations” tab to define standard presentations that can be selected to use with any patient.
- Type 1 presentation per line or copy/paste from a Word document.
- Custom presentations that are tailored to be patient-specific can be added at the patient level.
- (Optional) Complete the “Sds” tab to define standard Sds that can be selected to use with any patient.
- Type 1 Sd per line or copy/paste from a Word document.
- Custom Sds can be added at the patient level.
- Complete the “Score Types” tab, by selecting the data collection type(s) that can be used for this skill.
- Please note, users cannot add data collection types at the patient level.
- Complete the “Prompts” tab
- Users can select from previously created prompts.
- New prompts must be added in a separate screen. Navigate to the Admin module and select Skill Prompts from the “Protocol” section.
- (Optional) Complete the “Notes” tab to include important details to all patients with this skill.
- If users complete teaching tips here, these will appear on the data sheets of all patients with this skill.
- Users can complete notes or teaching tips on the patient level for individual patients.
To add task analysis skill(s) to the domain:
- Navigate to the Admin module and select Skills under the “Protocol” section
- Click +New and select a task analysis skill
- Complete the “Basics” tab
- For a task analysis sill, select the Protocol (Ad-Hoc and Custom Skills) and the domain.
- Select whether the skill is for assessments, teaching/data collection, or both.
- A skill that can be used for assessment will have an extra tab where users can define how to do assessment scoring.

- Type the name of the skill and an optional description for the skill.
- The default score type will be task analysis
- (Optional) Complete the Level, Ordinal, and Sub-Designator to define where the skill will appear in the domain order.
- Complete the “Task Analysis Steps” tab
- Click +Add and enter in 1 target per line
- Users can add/remove/reorder task analysis steps at the Patient Goal Plan level
- Complete the “Prompts” tab
- Users can select from previously created prompts.
- New prompts must be added in a separate screen. Navigate to the Admin module and select Skill Prompts under the “Protocol” section.
- (Optional) Complete the “Notes” tab and select either note or teaching tip, which appears under the Discovery (i) button.
- If users complete notes or teaching tips, these appear on data sheets of all patients with this skill.
- Users can complete notes or teaching tips on the patient level, for individual patients.
Please note, if duplicate skills were inadvertently created, users can merge skills. Merge skills rather than deleting skills protects patients’ electronic health record.
